Safe and Sound in Atlanta
Up at 4 am for an early flight to Atlanta via Toronto. Security and customs have made travel days into an endless series of tests of your patience and deodorant. We had a great reception in Atlanta Airport by nephew Robin and Amberley and Madison.Travel tip of the day: Don’t drink, water or anything while flying, you never know when turbulence, closed toilets, long customs lines, too tight transfer time, and delayed landing clearances will keep you from using the facilities. My bladder was put to the ultimate test yesterday. While circling Atlanta yesterday I was seriously considering testing the water retention capability of an air sickness bag. I should be able to walk normally again in a few days.

Is this day 1 of your trip?
Welcome to Atlanta!
For leaving and returning to Vancouver the "Nexus Air" is fantastic.
You take the same line as the Airline Crew but they have to wait for a U.S. Customs Officer - Nexus users do not.
On my last few trips I waited in line longer for a coffee than I spent in Customs and Security.
Sounds like good advice on the fluid intake.
