“A day in our life onboard”, [what the heck else did you think I would write about?]

We usually start seriously waking up around 6ish. If we asked for coffee and a muffin the night before we usually ask for it around 6 to 6:15 am. Doug pulls the drapes aside and goes out on the balcony to make sure that the weather is as described in the brochure. Fellette enters her journal and then does a crossword. If no coffee, we are into our swim suits and sandals and off for the three minute walk to the pool. Fellette does 1⁄2 hour, Doug about 10. Salt water, around 78 F., shower off at the pool and up to grab a coffee in the cafeteria. Back to the cabin, dress, breakfast, do a few laps around the deck, say goodbye to each other and off we go. Doug to Tai Chi [why do I want to say Kim Chee?] Fellette to the quiz and bible study. Sometimes a port lecture at 10. History lesson at 11. Lunch at noonish on deck, usually with somebody we have met before or a new acquaintance, we do this by choice to meet new people, we could be alone, [sometimes we wish we were!].

After lunch, Doug goes to the cabin to work on photos, computer, read, or nap. Or all three. Fellette may have a scrabble game on the computer, she hasn’t found a life partner for this yet, then off to crafts, skips out early from that and off to aerobics.

There is usually some errand to do prior to getting shaved, [Doug only], and showered for dinner at 6. We will have friends in for a glass of wine in our suite before dinner about once a week, if things go as usual. That is reciprocated.

There is usually some function that the ship has in public rooms prior to dinner about every 10 days or so, Dressy up thing. We won’t go to all of them,

Dinner is a happy and lively time, [6 to 7:30ish], we don’t generally mix with our table mates except at dinner. However we did have one couple in for a video camera lesson the other day. After dinner there is generally some entertainment that Fellette wants to take in such as a live theatrical performance, comedian, magician, or instrumentalist of some sort. Doug is sometimes not interested, but Fellette has no problem finding a friend to go with. Doug reads in the cabin.

Exercise is very important on a long cruise unless you want to be walk off looking like a basketball. The food is tempting because of the tremendous selection. And it is all delicious looking

Between departure and India, on March 15, we will ADVANCE our clocks at night 10 times. Homeward bound we regain all those 10 hours again. Eastbound is a little draining if you are sailing due east, every other night or so you advance the clocks.

That is a brief but by no means complete summary of this decadent life we will have for the next few months.

Sorry this is all rather mundane and boring stuff, but we have only been on for about six days and nothing spectacular has happened! At least none on deck 10! Perhaps when we get into Pirate waters…..

Hi there. Nice to hear from you again.
I had not seen any posting and wondered if you were still at sea.
I looked at your map and saw that you were supposed to arrive in Devils Island today and your itinerary said you arrived at 7:00 AM and departed at 2:00 PM
I then searched for a time zone calculator and see that it is now 2:38 PM.
Hmmmm, maybe Craig could add a "where are they today and what time is it" to your blog. :)
You must be heading out to sea again?
We have had 23/24? consecutive days of rain in Vancouver so news from someone in the Sun is welcome.
GB added our White Rock web cam and weather forecast to Candy's blog so if you want to see what you are missing back home, have a look.
Take care
Love Graham
