Dec 31 and Jan 1
December 31st, New Year’s Eve dayOff to see the newly opened Atlanta Aquarium. The line-up to get to a ticket machine was 1 ½ hours long. We went to CNN headquarters building to while away the two-hour wait to get into the aquarium. CNN is quite the operation. Well worth the tour. The aquarium was very crowded, far too many people for comfortable viewing. They have done a spectacular job on it however. Very people-friendly and interactive. Lots of touchy feely things for kids and adults alike. New Year’s Eve we spent watching pre-recorded movies with the kids. Talked to Candy, her first treatment went well with lots of support from her family. [You can check her Blog; there is a link from this one].
January 1st. Up early and off to Rob’s Church. What a massive operation it is. It holds around 2500 people, but only several hundred were there for New Years Day early service. Great message. Good fellowship, good way to start a New Year. Rob took us for brunch. Some then went to a kid’s movie, others stayed home and got caught up on the computer, photos, the journal, the Blog, reading and sleep.
