Day 6 of 7, Day 104 of 105...

What do I write for the last time on this darn blog thing?

At this writing it is early morning on day 104. The coffee is not yet here. I just checked the navigation channel and it looks like we MIGHT make it on time tomorrow morning. Only one more case to pack up, and then they go outside our door before we go to bed tonight.

Last night was the final Formal Dinner, with cocktails with the Captain and the official goodbye from the staff. Of course, flaming Baked Alaska in the dining room, the dining room staff parading around the room. It is a bit corny but it is a bit traditional and leaves a good feeling. The Show in the lounge after dinner was spectacular. A musical showcasing countries around the world. A nice way to end the cruise.

Tai Chi is officially over, we will have a social time today, hopefully Robert and Bronwyn will read some Aussie Bush Verse to us as well. Then we have the "disembarkation talk" at 10. Most people are focusing on goodbyes and packing. Tonight will be a somewhat sleepless night no doubt. We don't have the same kind of excitement when we boarded. At that time we were heading into an unknown adventure. Now we are heading into our known life and we are excited about that. Kids and people, that is what home is to me, [us].

Thank you Holland America, and Captain Gundersen, a great Captain on a great ship. Also to all the wonderful people we have met.

I will end by showing a few pictures that sums up the last three months. [I have over 4000 pictures to chose from].

See you very soon, Lord willing.
